Cedar Valley Humane Society to Break Ground on New Adoption Center March 26
Cedar Rapids, IA
-The Cedar Valley Humane Society is excited to
announce the groundbreaking of its new adoption center on March 26, 2025. This
milestone marks a significant step in the organization’s capital campaign to improve its
facilities and enhance its ability to care for animals in the community.
The new adoption center will provide modernized spaces for animals awaiting their forever
homes, as well as improved facilities for staff, volunteers, and visitors. These updates will
allow the Cedar Valley Humane Society to expand its services, improve animal well-being,
and create a more welcoming environment for potential adopters.
“We are thrilled to be moving forward with the next phase of our project,” said Lonnie Viner
of the Cedar Valley Humane Society. “With these improvements, we can provide better
care, increase adoptions, and continue our mission of finding loving homes for every pet.”
The capital campaign aims to fund key renovations and expansions that will benefit both
animals and the people who support them. The project includes enhanced kennel spaces,
upgraded medical facilities, and improved public areas to facilitate a smoother adoption
