FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE
Cedar Valley Humane Society Announces Soft Opening of New Adoption Facility
Cedar Valley Humane Society is excited to announce the soft opening of its new adoption facility, marking a major milestone in the organization’s Expanding Our Pawprint campaign and our community.
Following months of construction and preparation made possible by generous supporters, Graham Construction, OPN Architects, and many dedicated contractors the organization has begun transitioning operations into the new space next door.
This move includes relocating equipment, decades’ worth of accumulated supplies, and most importantly our animals. During this transition period, beginning Monday, February 2, 2026 through Monday, February 16, 2026, we will be operating by appointment only. We will do our very best to continue adoptions and services and to return phone calls, emails, and messages as quickly as possible, and we kindly ask for patience and grace as our small but mighty team works through this exciting change.
Normal business hours will resume on February 17th, when the new adoption facility officially enters its soft opening phase. The Humane Society will continue to operate as normal as possible during Phase 3 construction, which includes renovation of the current shelter building into a dedicated stray holding, isolation, and public services area. Construction is expected to continue into July.
A celebratory grand opening event will take place following the completion of Phase 3 later this year.
Cedar Valley Humane Society looks forward to welcoming the community into the new adoption facility beginning February 17th and will continue to share updates as the project progresses.
