Browse all our adoptable animals online or visit the shelter. Every animal in our care deserves a loving home. Our goal is to match every animal with the right family.
Select the animal you are interested in visiting with and ask the staff about behavior and personality of the animal.
Fill out an adoption application and spend time with the animal to make sure it is a good fit for your family and lifestyle.
Set up a meet and greet with other pets in your family (if applicable) to ensure compatibility.
Celebrate! You are now ready to take home your new family member!
You must be 18 years or older, have a curent photo ID, and have a verifiable address to adopt. If you rent we will need to verify with your landlord they accept animals on the property.

Pets for Vets
Reduced fee adoptions for Veterans
Owning a pet can lift your mood and help you feel less stressed. CVHS provides discounted adoption services to local area veterans looking for a companion animal. We hope the value of the companionship from these animals will be an even greater factor for our area’s veterans.
No cost adoption for the elderly
Pet ownership offers many physical and emotional benefits and CVHS believes in the positive impact pet companionship has on a seniors life. Cat Companions will provide discounted adoption services to seniors interested in adopting a companion cat with CVHS.
Cats suited for the outdoors
Cats that have histories and temperaments better suited to an outdoor lifestyle can be successfully placed with caring owners as working cats. These cats may live in a barn, stable or other outdoor setting where they have a “job” and a better quality of life. CVHS will help match potential adopters with a barn cat at a discounted fee to be placed in a safe and comfortable environment.
