Groundskeeper

Status:  Volunteer
Reports to:  Executive Director
Animal Involvement:  No

Representative Duties and Responsibilities
The duties and responsibilities listed below are representative of those the Groundskeeper will be expected to undertake and carry out.

• Work on the landscaping around the building as well as other plant related work around the grounds;
• Care for pet cemetery;
• Lawn mowing;
• Snow removal.

Qualifications
To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty and task satisfactorily.  The qualifications listed below are representative of the knowledge, skill, and abilities required.

• Basic yard and lawn care skills;
• Completion of volunteer orientation;
• Enthusiasm and the ability to be a team player and work with a variety of people;
• Strong work ethic and ability to complete assigned tasks on schedule;
• Affection for animals, concern for their welfare and a willingness to accommodate animals in the workplace;
• A commitment to treat people and animals with respect; contribute to effective teamwork; promote cooperation; and foster public relations beneficial to the CVHS.
