Representative Duties and Responsibilities
The duties and responsibilities listed below are representative of those the Foster Care Provider will be expected to undertake and carry out.
- Take in special needs animals to care for in their home for a specified period of time.
Qualifications
To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty and task satisfactorily. The qualifications listed below are representative of the knowledge, skill, and abilities required.
- Complete foster program application and waiver;
- Completion of a home visit by CVHS staff;
- Completion of volunteer orientation;
- Completion of foster program orientation;
- Enthusiasm and the ability to be a team player and work with a variety of people;
- Strong work ethic and ability to complete assigned tasks on schedule;
- Affection for animals, concern for their welfare and a willingness to accommodate animals in the workplace;
- A commitment to treat people and animals with respect; contribute to effective teamwork; promote cooperation; and foster public relations beneficial to the CVHS.
