Leland Finds His Forever Home & Fits Right In!

March 29th, 2010 by Cedar Valley Humane Society

Hi! Just wanted to let you know Leland (who my six-year-old renamed Harry) is loving it here. He’s practically in my lap begging me to keep petting him. He didn’t get along with our dogs at first, but once he realized food wasn’t something to fight over, he decided to like them. If you pet him just right (rub his ear) he will fall over from
leaning too far.

Tonight he ran around like a wild man and then decided to lay in some mud! Luckily we were able to wash him off, and he could dry off on the screened in porch before coming in for the night. Now he’s decided to chew on a rawhide bone for entertainment; since the kids are busy, and I am not giving him what wants.

Everyone thinks he looks like a giant collie, but he has a lot of traits that resemble a Great Pyrenees from what I have read. I had to stop and get some puppy toys the other night (he was taking a liking to my three-year-old’s dolls). Thank you for choosing us for Harry’s family. He is a wonderful and gorgeous dog! We all just love him, and it’s fun to see what he will do each day.

Sincerely,
Lori Beuter and family
(Dave, Joe, Emilee, Grandma and the dogs: Harry, Tucker & Sadie)
